Graveside services for Robert A. Murphy, 78, will be at 1 p.m. today at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Covina. He died Tuesday of a heart attack at his home in Hemet. Miller-Jones Mortuary in Hemet is handling arrangements.
Mr. Murphy, who was born in Chicago, lived in Hemet 20 years. He was a construction estimator for Driver-Eddie Construction in Santa Fe Springs for 20 years before he retired in 1971. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 until 1944. Mr. Murphy was a member of the Seven Hills Country Club in Hemet.
He is survived by his wive, Lucille; four daughters, Debbie Caldwell of Glendora, Barbara Keeline of Visalia, Sharon Lockett of La Verne and Sandy Smith of Hemet; two sons, Bobby and Steven, both of Hemet; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
